I previously speculated that Apple's new 3D camera is not so much a camera as it was the Apple version of a Microsoft Kinect controller.  Farhad Manjoo in a syndicated piece called "Too late Apple, Microsoft has already invented the next big thing in TV" makes the case that Apple is likely to want to mirror the user interface provided to Xbox 360 users for its own implementation on Apple TV.
