Computatioonal photography in general and Lytro in particular have created a new class of images which are truly virtual in nature as the image is destroyed or at least hobbled when it is printed or even put to video. Light field images only truly exist when seen on some sort of screen connected to a computer of some kind or at least viewed on a screen connected to an image processor.
